I am using a rowspan on the left. The top right cell should contain a picture. Right at the bottom of the picture the bottom right cell should start. However, the browser is making the top right cell too big, with the result that the text in the bottom right cell starts too low. How can this be resolved? Obviously, I tried using height attribute, but the browser will not listen to this. I also tried setting the height in the style sheet, no luck. |

[snip code which shows no sign of height attributes] Since you didn't provide a URL, it's impossible to know why it isn't working like you want. But just guessing: that height attribute - are you sure you set it on both cells? At your request, here is an URL: http://www.netadvies.nl/test.html I discovered that FF does render it as desired, but IE does not. I did not set the height on the bottom right cell, because I just want it to be as small as possible, but the top of the bottom right cell should touch the picture. |
