Default NOT resize an element? - 11-02-2009 , 05:51 AM

Suppose I have a banner at the top of the page that is 1cm in height.
I want that banner's 1cm height to survive resizing so that the
resized banner doesn't squeeze out real info.

Any way to do that?

Thanks to all.

On your screen perhaps. Not on any of mine.

Why?

"doesn't squeeze out real info"? What *exactly* does this mean. Your
explanation must include URLs to examples of where info is "squeezed out".

No idea. You have not provided a URL to what you have. And I for one do not
understand what "that" is.

I see people all over this thread trying to guess what the hell you are
talking about, to no avail. You dribble in little snippits of information as
if it is on a need to know basis. What is this overlap business that
somebody mentioned? Why is z-index relevant? Things don't overlap but
z-index is relevant? Oxymoron.

We, don't, know, what, you, are, talking, about. We can't SEE the damn
banner.

Why not just show us this offending bloody banner?

Before you piss us all of, provide a URL.

And if you think you had a spat with Sherm, I await your reply to this post.
Don your tinfoil hat.

Please God, make lcplben dribble just a teensy bit more but not enough
to make anyone much wiser. I want to see if rf can penetrate a tin hat,
my bet is yes. <g>
