Good for you. To what, and to whom are you replying? It's customary to
quote the relevant parts of the message to which you're responding, and
considered rude not to.

This is because of the distributed and asynch nature of usenet; your reply
may appear on my local server before the message you replied to, the original
may have expired and been deleted from my local server, or it may never
have arrived at all.
