float left or right here?

The home page as currently online has my <h1> floated right, mainly so that
text will be at the top of the xhtml code. I have an alternate version with
everything floated left. Any opinions on which is better and why? Any
suggestions for improvement in the coding? (I want the page's appearance to
remain close to this layout, lol)
