Default centering page - 04-29-2008 , 12:06 AM

I have a page that uses 3 frames.
1 left 1 top and 1 main

how do I center the page so that it is in the middle?

You don't. A frameset takes up the whose browser canvas.

Another reason to not use frames.

Why do you want it in the "middle" anyway? Planning on having it fixed
width? Hmm, ponders, a fixed width framed site... :-)

Add two more frames, left and right and have them devoid of content.

That's taking a bad situation and making it worse.

The trouble with that idea is that you are adding more than is needed to
do a job. In the Framepeace literature we have an article - you can buy
it* without joining. We recommend not to multiply frames beyond
necessity.

How truly simple-minded! How on earth do you arrive at this? Is it,
Frames are evil and therefore more frames are even more evil? It is
simply laughable.

If there were 2 Hitler's in control of Nazi Germany, the end result
might have been better, not worse, each might have modified the other or
countered the other.

Yes, I know Jonathan, you have an extreme emotional attitude towards
them. The use of both zero and infinity are a sign of deep seated
fundamentalist tendencies. Please consider purchasing (a steal at
$US12.50), my "How to stop getting sucked in by Zero - how to start
enjoying both positive and negative integers")
