Default Where have I gone wrong? - 08-25-2003 , 07:02 PM

I am trying out a layout for a CSS version of the Animals in Distress
site but I have a small problem, I cannot get the main text to flow under
the left menu. It is probably something simple that I have either missed
out or should not have put in, I just can't see it this late at night.

The test page is at http://www.animals-in-distress.net/layout2.html

Thanks in advance for any help

Gerald

CSS: remove the left margin from ".rightpanel"

no problem. I could tell - with a 99% chance of certainty - that was the
problem without even looking. It's my favourite[1] bug.

[1] I mean it's the one I implement most often ;o)

Hi,

I have just tried the updated css and it works in IE5.5 but still won't
wrap in Mozilla or Opera 6.04 and 7

Thanks for all your help, I'll be using it as a template for a change of
design and conversion to CSS of the site.

I would comment that the text size for the main body content is *way* too
small for reading. I'm not likely to contribute if I can't read the stuff
:-)

It's showing up way smaller than my default font size. Is there some
useful reason you have the body font-size set to .7em?

Cheers,
Steve

Hi,

Thanks for pointing that out.
I had been given a sample sheet with a few different styles on it for me
to choose from and I didn't notice the font size till after I'd uploaded
the test page I have changed it in the template I am using and will
upload the new version this evening (UK time)

Gerald
