Default Removing Explorer-added text from printable page. - 12-22-2003 , 05:42 PM

Hi,

I have some CSS to clean up my page to remove certain things when printed,
but how can I remove the stuff that IE or Netscape adds - like the URL, date
and "Page 1 of 1"?

Thanks,
mark

By using the print preferences of IE or Netscape.

You can't. Those are part of the user interface.

Most browsers let users configure these, at least to an extent. It's
not controllable by authors in HTML.

I can't imagine why you'd want to do that anyhow, but no. These things fall
into the domain of the user.
