Quite rightly so, in my opinion. The Multi-column layout module is
currently a working draft and, as I recall, a relatively vague one at
that.

The topic of CSS3 multi-columns comes up every now and then. So far no
one has really addressed how these things will adapt to various
combinations of viewport and text size, and the all-important overflow
behavior. AFAICT, these things aren't well suited for screen display.
They do seem an OK idea for print, though.

I don't have high hopes that, if these things are ever implemented, they
will be used wisely.
The International Herald Tribune manages to display articles in three
flowing columns, using lots of javascript code and being a bit clunky.
Use the controls at the left to change text size rather than whatever
feature your browser has to do it, otherwise the text will not display
nicely. FYI.
