Remember that Microsoft's vision of the Web is not that of the W3C. Nor
will it ever be. Microsoft has to lose significant market share and
contribute it to their browser's non-support of Web standards for them
to comply. That ain't going to happen.
They are perfectly aware of "bugs" in their browser. To facilitate non
Microsoft browsers is more sinister than a non-issue for them.
