I have a test layout at http://www.animals-in-distress.net/layout2.html
this has been chosen by the charity as to what they would like. I have
found that in non-CSS capable browsers that the menu shows before the
content, is it possible to have the content show first in these browsers
and yet in CSS capable browsers still have the content flow under the
menu.
Position (absolutely) the menu. See http://b5.thecoreworlds.net/ for an
example.

Hi David,
Thanks for the link but it doesn't have the text taking up the full
width of the page under the menu, is it possible?

Gerald

Hi
The site at the URI below does this

Thanks for the link David, unfortunately it has the menu before the
content when viewed without CSS, I have that at the moment at
http://www.animals-in-distress.net/layout2.html

I am trying to have the site with a left menu and text that takes the
full width after the menu but has the content shown before the menu in
non-CSS capable browsers.

Gerald

This is generally not my way, but is maybe the lay-out of my pages what
you're looking for?

http://home.wanadoo.nl/b.de.zoete/index.html

In my page the content is in a first <div>. All non-content such as
menu's is in <div>s after all content. They are put in place with CSS,
by giving them a position:aboslute;
Hope this helps.
