What Am I Trying to Do??

Hello, Everybody,

Any resources dedicated to using JavaScript and CSS in the service of
website **design**??

After some more reading here and there (particularly of "Web Standards
Creativity"), it turns out that that's what I'm really trying to do: I
want to learn JavaScript programming and CSS (and maybe even Ajax!) in
order to make my site *look* and *behave* the way I want it to.

So are there any online resources for that? (Heck, is there even a
*name* for it?? I don't even know what to call it, what I'm trying to
do!) I already know about aListApart.com, but I'm hoping for
something more geared towards a beginner. I am interested in the book
"Dom Scripting" by Jeremy Keith but I'm not sure if it's as oriented
towards JavaScript integration with CSS in the service of site design
(look *and* behavior) as I'd like, and I already have JavaScript
programming texts (though none with a DOM ethos, apparently)....
