Ah, but the issue isn't actually the download. I have IE 5.0 on my
computer, and I like being able to test it on that browser. I'm
unlikely to find IE 5 at a library or at work, whereas IE 6 is pretty
common. So I think the right choice is to keep IE 5, but of course it
makes things a bit difficult when IE 6 is doing a worse job then its
predecessor.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but there seems to have been a stroke of
genious pulled by some guy - he has worked out how to run multiple versions
of IE on the same PC - take a look at
