The following page has a fixed-liquid-fixed layout. When minimizing
the IE6 browser, I would like the right bar of browser to start
overlapping the right column after about half way through.

When you minimize the IE6 browser (or any browser), it becomes a little
button on the taskbar. How would something 'overlap'?

I copied your code (as you should have) to a web server (mine).

A couple of things that are probably bothering OP. When the window is
much less than 780px, the floats drop. The other thing is this: before
the float drop happens, when the window is less than 780px, the green
'Right Sidebar' *overlaps* the yellow content.

One problem is that IE does not recognise min-width. There are
workarounds. You may care to advise OP considering you have gone to the
trouble of putting it on your server. I feel I should not interfere with
your baby here, B. <g>
