Default position:fixed position: fixed - 09-02-2004 , 04:26 AM

I've read a lot through the google archives, but I cannot seem to find
an example...

Has someone successfully made css code that allows for
position: fixed to work in IE 6.0.2800? What is the url please?

My partner is looking to make the top-right graphic stay in view as
the reader scrolls down the page:

Hmm.

<http://bednarz.nl/>

Works only in IE, though, and is actually the only useful application I
could think of until now.

It's not a question of whether someone has found a way to use
position: fixed successfully with IE. It's that IE doesn't support
position: fixed.

IE's CSS reference:

Try the web search First link for "position fixed ie" is
http://devnull.tagsoup.com/fixed/, which is a way of getting position:
fixed -like behaviour in IE.

As Harlan said, you'll never get position: fixed to work, because it's
not supported. The URL above gives you a method which will provide a
similar visual effect - how harmful or otherwise it is, you must decide
yourself.

Can't you just set it as a fixed background image with the position set to
top-right?

Thanks for all the responses. So basically the command is not
supported, and that is that. Too bad

This info was not really for me anyway, but for my partner.

Me, I got other things to worry about, namely getting my work to
something resembling compliance with the Disabilities Act.

Thanks again.
