IE6 and IE7 on same PC?

Is it possible to have both IE6 and IE7 on the same PC?

I'm currently running IE7 on Windows XP SP2 but would like to have a copy of
IE6 on the same machine to test my websites.

Easiest solution: run a virtual PC (it's free nowadays), and get a
hd-image from:

Yes to above. Currently running IE4,5,5.5,6, & 7. Note to poor suckers
running Vista, Rik's method is your only option.

Actually, I tried the 'IE6 IE7' search in Google - and got a gazillion hits.
The first several were completely unrelated to my question so I figured I'd
save time by asking in a newsgroup. I was right; I think this DID save some
time since I didn't need the answer instantaneously.

googlewhacking, generating the maximum possible number of hits for a
pair of words (2,250,000 in Google)

Well a little common sense goes a long way. Worn;t something like:

ie6 ie7 together

ie6 ie7 install same computer

or similar be a more logical keyword selection to narrow the focus?

So you could find the info with such vague keywords...hmm trying to
