Default IE5 problem - 07-07-2004 , 09:54 PM

I have been told that my test website:
http://home.ne.rr.com/thespar/designerN.htm has severe problems in IE5.
I unfortunately don't have that browser.

Is there any way to check a live-website with a browser you don't have via
the net?

Thanks, CMA

Chart, thanks for the reference, but unfortunately they want my credit card
info for a screen shot.

recommend. I had a problem with Safari (a Mac browser I don't have, this was
good and there are links to other browser captures. So now send me your
credit card details instead! Only kidding....

You can sign up for a free 8 hour trial account without giving
anything except an e-mail address. I've lost count of the number of 8
hour trials I've used...

It's not via the net, but you can install older versions of IE with the
download from this page:
<http://www.insert-title.com/web_design/?page=articles/dev/multi_IE>

And yes, there is a problem. The brown border isn't as you want it, and
things are overlaying each other. Same problem in IE 4.

For CSS-less browsers it would be good to provide a 'skip navigation'
link(s) since you have so many. You can use something like:

<div class="something"><a href="#afternavigation" accesskey="s">Skip
navigation</a> (accesskey S)</div>

..something {
display: none;
}

to do this.
