IE Crash on width

I am putting together a website that has an issue in IE (not on purpose

001.e-connected.com

In FF the navigation sits nicely on the right hand side - in IE it
sites on the left hand side.

I have put a border round the holding div to show where I mean
(navigationHolder). It seems that the item has a default value of
width:100% in IE. If I take this down to 39em it fits nicely in IE -
however if I try to resize the text using the ctrl key and mouse
scroll, IE crashes.

Not sure if anyone can explain a different way of changing the size of
the absolutely positioned navigationHolder or some other work around
that will stop IE from crashing on me.

It is IE6.

I've corrected those CSS issues and sorted the body, however this has
not resolved the issue.

Any advance on why the tabbed navigation crashes IE if I specifiy a
width for the navigationHolder item? About 39em sorts out the
alignment issue but that crashes IE when you increase text size with
Ctrl and the mouse wheel.

I'm not concerned with isses with disabled JS at this stage...that will
be dealt with in due course - the issue is with alignment; but thanks
for that feedback.

I am not sure what navigation you refer to. With JavaScript disabled, I
see some text links in the upper-right corner of the page (FF, Opera,
and IE6). They seem to start _above_ the viewport.

With JavaScript enabled, I see what look to be different links in the
form of graphical tabs, at the right in FF, and at the left in Opera and
IE6.

For some reason, the validator doesn't like your missing <body> tag.

The W3's CSS validator fails to read the file. This one (enter the URL
to the CSS file) shows numerous errors.

Perhaps some of these errors are causing your problem. I don't do
JavaScript, so I didn't look at that.

You've not assigned a background color, so I see my ugly default purple.

Make that two issues. In IE7 the menu bar looks OK (FF like) but
there's a large white vertical gutter between the LH column and the
large photo in the middle.

(Nice looking site so far though)
