Default DIV still overlapping - 03-21-2006 , 08:27 AM

http://www.glbasic.com/bugs.htm

I fixed the doctype and simplified it. The validator shows no error.
But Firefox is still overlapping the DIV's. (View with IE7 to get the
picture of what I want)

Please, please help.

Don't simplify it. Use a full doctype as David said. Preferably Strict.

Then, visit this link and fix your CSS errors.

Remove the "height: 21px" from ".X2".
Firefox correctly heeds the property by maintaining the div height at
21px. IE does not; it treats height like min-height instead.

Bingo! Thank you very much!

I would, but in order for me to see what you want, I first have to reboot
into windows, go to microsoft, download and install IE7, probably reboot
into windows again, open the new browser, and view your page so that I can
see what your goal is. Then, I would uninstall IE7, make sure it did not
corrupt anything on my windows partition, ensure that everything is nice
and stable, reboot back into linux, bring up Firefox and see what it is
displaying and compare that with my recollection of what was happening back
in IE7.

On the other hand, if you could get a snapshot of what you want, next time
you run IE7 and upload it to your site with a link in your message, then I
can easily download the screenshot, display it in a window, while at the
same time looking at your site in firefox.

In other words, if you would like my assistance. Make it easy for me to
assist you. Otherwise, Sorry! Maybe next time.

OOps! It was IE 6 that viewed it correct. Also, I already got a
solution (see my last reply to Jim Moe)
Thank you for your will to help.
