Default Button like Link :: Negative margin in IE - 08-06-2007 , 07:23 PM

Hi guys,

I'm having a big problem doing something so simple it's not even funny.
i'd like to have a kind of button layout for my links.
What i want to achieve is exactly what you can see with FIREFOX on that
page : http://www.weloveindustry.fr/test.html

I'm struggling for hours now has i tried everything from divs, conainer,
simple a tags.

The two buttons are identical in shape and function but the css' i used
to create them are quite different.

Anyway, in both cases, under IE nothing is working : When I use padding
to have the right height on the first aptempt, ie pads around the arrow
where Firefox doesn't

And on the second attempt, IE does not seem to understand negative padding.

For one of the other is there a way to have consistency?

Thanks.

Can someone tell me what i did or say wrong, that nobody would take a
look at my problem ?

I fell a little left alone here

Regards.

Hi,

First, thanks for the help.

Can you explain to me what you meant ?
What is the purpose of zoom ? What does it do ?

I'm not picky about validation, as long as it words : )

Regards.

If you're picky about validation, put it in a conditional comment.

It can correct a host of IE display problems without affecting other
browsers by turning on IE's dumb proprietary "haslayout" property. You
can search for more info on that yourself, but a brief overview is at:

Hi,

Thanks you so much !!

I had never heard of that trick, or that theory before.

But it worked on the first example.

Thanks again.

Regards.
