backgroung image

Hi,
I am trying to include a background image to an iframe inside a <td> and
regardless of whether I specify the style "background: url (xxx)" for
<td> or <ifame>, it does not show up in IE. It works fine in Netscape 6
or 7.

<td valign="top" width="500" style="background: white url(bkgrnd.jpg)
fixed; background-repeat: repeat-y">
<iframe style="background:white url(bkgrnd.jpg);" name="content"
marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" id="content" width="500" height="420"
frameborder="0" scrolling="auto"></iframe>
</td>

I tried using styleon either one and on both, but no change. What am I
doing wrong?

Apply the background to the body of the page loaded into the iframe.
