Appreciate a look

I'd advise you *not* to read the rantlets, but please check the other
sections for readability, if you would (i.e., I'd appreciate comments
even from long-dead sacks of meat). ;-)

I think the background color behind the text is *just* on the verge of
being too dark for readability, but I do love that color, so I'd
appreciate some opinions from folks with different monitors.

It started with Movable Type's style sheet, so I know there's still a lot
of px values in there. I'm slowly weeding them out.

Btw, anybody who can shed light where there's darkness in "Slouching
toward XHTML" is welcome to throw in his or her two cents worth, here or
there.
