Embedded sound NS vs IE

I have an app that uses sound files in <EMBEDs. Internet Explorer does a
nice job of handling these, but I'm a little dissatisfied with NS
Navigator. While Netscape plays the sound ok, the system steals focus from
the browser application and it takes some time for the user to be able to
re-establish focus in (for example) web form fields, as if the underlying
sound drivers are busy even after the sound has played (steals focus for 5-
6 seconds.

Is anybody familiar with this problem, and are there any workarounds?
