Default Displaying GIF files on web pages - 10-11-2007 , 11:08 AM

I'm designing my first website (just a simple one with some linked
pages). I have created some buttons (designed in Paint then saved as
GIF files e.g. buttonBlank.gif in my file) for use on my pages. The
buttons display perfectly when I'm viewing the web pages on my PC from
the local html and gif files but when I uploaded the pages to my web
site, the buttons were not displayed. [See www.firsaccountancy.co.uk
for source HTML]. I have used just the *.gif filename (since they are
in the same directory as the html files). Is there something I'm doing
wrong - why does it work ok locally but not after upload?

Please disregard my original post. I have now resolved the problem.
The upload program I used converted the filename from *.gif to *.GIF.
As the html file referred to *.gif, it didn't recognise the *.GIF file!

safe bet is to use all lower case and no spaces in names!
