Default WYSIWYG editor - 07-19-2003 , 08:59 PM

Hi all.

I'm trying to find a genuine WYSIWYG html editor. I've got Coffe Cup and
Front Page, but neither of those seem to do what I want so I thought I'd ask
the experts, you folks.

Sort of thing I'm looking for is...

I want to drop an image on a page and have it in the top right hand corner
of the page. Drag and Drop in Coffee Cup creates duplicates of the image,
Front Page Drag and Drop seems to do nothing.

I want 4/5/6/x buttons vertically in a row. This should require negligble
effort, I shouldn't have to play around lining them up and the like.

I guess what I'm looking for is Something like Corel Draw for web pages with
some project management bits added in so I can keep pages together, etc,
etc.

All help much appreciated!

Try this: http://blocknote.net

It IS a WYSIWYG html editor. Easy to use, fast and compact.

As a bonus it allows you to edit MHT files (Web Archive - html and images in
one can) and EML (MIME message files).
And bonus #2: it prints and exports to PDF.

Have you tried DreamWeaver? I find it very simple to use. You can get a free
demo of it from Macromedia's website.

I use dreamweaver also. It can be easy to learn for beginers and powerful
enough for advanced users. I used to use Claris Homepage for it's user
friendlyness but Dreamweaver is even better.

It isn't drag and drop, and it isn't WYSIWYG, but it may be what your
looking for. It's an online tool, www.halfwit-hosting.com.
Basically, you select a template, add a few pages, enter the titles
and text for each, and an entire site is build automagically.

It's FREE for 30-days, so give it a shot.

www.halfwit-hosting.com

Thanks,
Joel
