Now, how to deal with it. First, get rid of FrontPage. I mean that, really. Get a decent text editor, with syntax highlighting, like HTML-Kit http://www.chami.com/html-kit>, and then go to W3Schools http://www.w3schools.com> and do the HTML and CSS tutorials. |

I've been jerking around with HTML for awhile, certainly not as part of my profession as a software developer (I have not developed any web applications or web sites, just created my own little web site for pictures, resume, etc.) I'd like a free editor that does WYSIWYG HTML editing. I used FrontPage, I believe it was, but for some reason I can't quite remember, I couldn't deal with it (something like I could not do certain things I wanted to, or couldn't figure out how, and then lost the ability to edit these things by hand, IIRC.) I just another post, to wit: Now, how to deal with it. First, get rid of FrontPage. I mean that, really. This has gotta be a joke. Why? Download Macromedia Dreamweaver, and buy a good book such as "HTML, XHTML & CSS Bible" Good luck. I would recommend using Dreamweaver if you are interested in having the |
