Commas in description tag

Hi, I've hear or read somewhere that using more than 3 or 4 commas in
your sites description is a no, no. That Google may ban a site for
spamming. Your reply is appreciated. Darryl

The meta name="description" tag is virtually useless, but usually not
much worse than useless. All kinds of rumors exist to the contrary of
both of these statements.

That Google may ban a site for spamming.

It may, without telling a reason. But their expressed policy says that
they ban pages that present themselves as (essentially) differently to
search engines than to users. You normally know whether you are doing
that or not.
