Default Button Width - 02-11-2004 , 02:53 PM

I have two buttons on my form that I want to make the same width. One is
longer than the other and it doen't look good. I tried the width and size
attribute but neither seemed to work. How can I do this?

width is determined by the name given as the value of the button. try adding
spaces ( ;&nbsp; ) to the shorter button until it is of equal or near equal
size.

<input name="submit" type="submit" id="submit"
value="&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Submit&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;" >
<input name="reset" type="reset" id="reset" value="Make Empty">

Well, try something defined in applicable specifications. Assuming you
are using <input> elements, the size attribute should have no effect
(it's for type="text" and type="password" only), and there is no width
attribute for <input> in the specification.

Using CSS, you can suggest a width. The details are off-topic, and
besides depend on the desired width, but see
