Default REQ: Query on Tag in Safari - 02-19-2005 , 09:31 AM

The matched HTML tags

<A HREF="#xxxx"></A> and
<A NAME="xxxx"></A>

used to jump to a particular spot on a page, seem to work fine in
Internet Explorer and Netscape, but they do not function properly when
viewing the page in Safari or Firefox browsers (on a Mac computer at
least). I can't find anything on the subject in the Safari area of
Apple's website. Does any one know if there is a workaround or alternate
code to make the page function properly in the latter two browsers also?

See http://www.kofc4597.ark.com/gallery.htm for where I use the tags.
I notice that when I try to connect to an item in Firefox, the URL line
shows "#float" rather than the actual name of the tag. (As you can tell,
I'm not an expert at this stuff - any hints will be appreciated.

Leif
