Default Fluid inline frames - 08-05-2006 , 05:40 PM

I'm putting together a small calling-card site at
www.whittingtoncbt.com. I'm using an inline frame to display the
information. When I resize the window the iframe eventually drops to
below the nav graphic. Does anyone know of a way to make the iframe
resize itself so it'll stay in place? I'm not using stylesheets at
this point (why? Because I'm a rank amateur, learning as I go).

Any advice - except rtfms - would be welcome.

What's wrong with RTFM? That's where the information is.

Actually, <http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/present/frames.html#edef-IFRAME> is
where you need to look first.

Because I've just spent four days googling for ideas (including
learning javascript) and I'm now at the point where I realise I'm just
too stupid to understand. :-(

Thanks - though there's nothing there I hadn't found out already.
Particularly where it says "inline frames cannot be resized" - but
I've seen sites that do it, I just can't work out how.

No, you're not too stupid to understand. You might be ACTING stupid, but
you are NOT stupid. When something does not go the way you think it
should, look for another solution.

Then "Look at the source, Luke". Copy the source of a page you found
that does what you want, take out what you don't need, and play with it
until you understand what it does, then put it back together again with
what you do need.

I guess. It's pretty much what I have been doing, and not
understanding the results I get. Hence my 'stupid' conclusion. I
thought I might short-circuit the process by asking the experts, but
hey (shrug).
