When I test the page in a browser before importing it into the site it works
flawlessly but as soon as I import it when you click on the thumbnail you
get a 10 x 10 version of the thumbnail instead of the full-size version of
the pic.
In both Gecko and IE, when I click on
the thumbnails, nothing at all happens.

Frontpage is not really designed for
people who want to write their own code.
I suggest you modify the code and upload
with WS-FTP or another FTP client. Do a
google search for a download. There is
a free version.

Not all of the pics are the same size or orientation otherwise I
would just make the blankspot.gif file the same size as all the full size
and all would be good.
Yes, this is an odd way of doing things.

I know I shouldn't use frames but in this case I like the way the pages work
in frames I just need to figure out what's wrong with the DHTML.
Ok, if you must use frames, use a
seperate HTML file to display each
enlarged picture in the right frame,
not an image swap. Replace the whole
right frame file.
And drop you WYSIWIG editor and learn
a bit of markup.
http://www.mbstevens.com/howtothumb/
may help, although it doesn't
particularly cover frames because,
as you admit, you shouldn't use them.
A rewrite will take less time than
mopping up bugs.
