print styles

I am going to be developing a site shortly which is basically an online
manual, so I will be displaying page after page of content in basic HTML.

One of the requirements is to be able to print the pages without the menu
and borders and such like, which I have no problem doing BUT my customers
would like to have a page header on the printed page. I am not aware of any
easy way to do this, obviously I will have control over the doc to be
printed so could hardcode the page header but is there an easier way to
achieve this ?
