File downloads auto html creator

I was wondering if anyone knows of a tool that can automatically
generate pages of html with download links based on files in recursive
directories.

Sorry if this is inappropriate but I have been looking for something like
this for a while and haven't found anything. Not even any cgi scripts or
suchlike to do it on the fly.

Any help would be appreciated.
