I've lost everyone who had skills for programming.

so they promoted a whole pile of people today.

One got to be a senior status. (he is in Australia doing something for
Olympics, so he doesn't know yet)
Another is a senior status. This meant that her husband and their friend
were not promoted. (nor 2 other people)
The husband is trying to move to Baltimore. He was offered senior jobs in
W VA, but turned them down. He is apparently under consideration for the
Baltimore job but has not heard yet.
The friend was then promoted to senior in Charlottesville, where he can
live happily ever after with his best bud. I don't know if they drink tea.

There is a rumor going on that an executive bought a new house and another
executive came over to the housewarming and said, you coulda done better.

There is also a rumor out that another executive out of DC was demoted.
(I hope that includes getting rid of his division)
There is a rumor that he is under investigation for promoting someone he
"had tea with". I don't know the whole story, but there are several
versions, the favorite of which is that because there is an EEOC complaint
pending, they moved him to quiet the situation down.
I don't know him so I don't know much more.

One of the clerks will be a scheduler, full time...she is doing a great
job. I am really proud of her. She is so up to date, that we cannot keep
up with cases for her...

Her mom died this week, lung cancer. I was away this week, so i did not
find out til after the funeral.

Final thing -- most frightening thing on the planet.
The nut in the office YES THE NUT had an interview with the DC office.
He is taking cooking classes.
He has diabetes.\
