LAN Portal set up

I don't know if this is the place to post this but here goes any way.
I Have my own Network with 2 PCs, both running XP.
Now I have been given the task to create a portal for one of the PCs to
snaz it up a bit. This PC is not connected to the Internet by the way.
Now I have started the portal, made a top frame and a side from as well
as a main frame for links to open in.
What I want is for u click a link and, like if I wanted to see the
network in that window, u would click the network link and the network
contents would show in the main frame. Now the problem, how do I do
this, what is the code/link to get it to show. I thought it maybe \\(ip
address)\(workgroup)\(name)\(then location or file). Is this wrong?
Well it must be cos I tried it and it didn't work.
Any help would be appreciated, if u don't understand what I have wrote I
will re-write it in a different way.
