No, I don't want to d/l a newer version of Flash. Since I clicked
'no' to that option I couldn't see anything but your note that the
site requires IE 5.5

Fairly nice use of white space, though.

It is considered good web design etiquette to offer a non-Flash entry
option for people who don't wish to use Flash. Flash itself allows you
to create JPG images to replace any SWF files that aren't used by
non-Flash visitors. In your case, the handshaking Flash file can be
easily substituted with a JPG image.

Just for the record; I do have Flash installed, but apparently not the
most current version.

Any site that "requires" THE MOST up-to-date browser and plug-ins is
not worth a visit.
