Default i.e. display problem - 04-07-2004 , 06:17 PM

Hi there,

I have the following problem and was hoping someone could give me some
suggestions as to what I can do to fix it:

After the index page of the site I'm building the viewer will get a
javascript activited new window. This window is 600x500 with no resizing
and scrolling allowed (to keep the design intact). Within this
window I use frames: 3 rows, no columns, size of each row specified in
pixels.

The bottom frame contains my menu, which is made up of 5 menu buttons in
a row with a simple javascript rollover applied to them. The combined
width of these buttons is exactly 600 px. In Netscape they show up in
one row, as I had intended. But in Internet Explorer the last button is
on the next line, as if after a line break.

To find out if this maybe had to do with the border of an IE window I
took about 5 pixels off the last button, but it still showed up
underneath the other 4. After shortening it by 10+ pixels they finally
showed up in order, but of course not filling in the full width.

Also, before and after the row of buttons are simple divider graphics of
exactly 600 px each.

Where am I going wrong with this? I don't think it has to do with the
new window script, so I'm guessing it's a frames issue with IE. Any help
would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for looking,
Wolf
