Default insert picture? - 08-01-2004 , 02:10 PM

I have upgraded Office from 97 to 2003. Using Word 97, I created a fireworks
related
web site. Since upgrading I have tried to edit the page but am having
problems. When I insert pictures (thumbnails) on the page - ( all the jpg's
and the html
doc are in the same folder) - everything works as it did before, except
after transferring the files to the web site they don't show up on the page.
All of the ones I inserted before upgrading still show up OK. Any ideas?

This is the page - http://members.cox.net/mwilley/fireworks.htm

Thanks
Marshall

According to that page, the pictures you added are supposed to be in a
sub-directory (folder) called fireworks_files, but they sre not there.
Nor are they in the directory with the html file.

That is to say, neither of these exist:

http://members.cox.net/mwilley/image002.jpg
http://members.cox.net/mwilley/firew...s/image002.jpg

Arthur,

Thank you. I guess the new version of Word creates a sub-directory when
images are inserted. Things seem to be working now.
Is there a preferred html creation program for the person who only
occasionally needs to create and edit personal web pages?

Thanks again

I never learned to use a web page creation program. I just learned to
write html directly using notepad. I examined the source code of pages
I liked, to learn more. You can't do this anymore, because they are
mostly created with complicated programs and impossible for a beginer
to understand. Often they are impossible for almost anyone to
understand.

Also, I have not kept up with new developements in html. I know the
basic stuff and help if I can, as there is a shortage of experts on
this newsgroup.
