frames and targets help

Hi all,

I have a website where the menu is in a frame, and when you click on a link
it changes the second frame to the new html page.... This works great,
though is it possible to to go direct to a page from a link and keep the
menu frame also ? I'm not sure if that makes sence, though when the webpage
loads I get like "menu.html" with "index.htm" which is fine, though say if I
wanted to have a link which did the same as clicking on the menu but without
actually clicking on it. It would be somehting like....

www.mysite.com/menu.htm (index would load in the second frame )

to something like

www.mysite.com/news.htm ( problem is only the news page would come up and
not the frame menu)

im not sure if its possible to do this with only a URL though if there is it
would be like.....

www.mysite.com/menu.htm#frame2 target news.htm.

I have no idea if it cane be done or if it makes any sence at all
